VFW Post 8510
In the fall of 2009 Boo Boo Bear's Mission inspired a fundraiser to benefit military families who had loved ones deployed overseas. On Veterans Day 2009 Hibbing, Minnesota's VFW Post 8510 held a dinner and "Operation Boo Boo Bear" program for families of deployed service members from the 114th Transportation Company.
Thanks to the enthusiastic support of Post members and the generosity of area community members and organizations, the Post was able to present 65 military families with a copy of Boo Boo Bear's Mission. Each of their children received a teddy bear as well.
