My name is Shea Leigh. (“Shea” rhymes with “play.” “Leigh” rhymes with “see.”) I’m the military kid who sent my bear to my dad while he was deployed to Iraq. Ever since I was very little, Boo Boo Bear has been my “security blanket.” While my dad was away, Boo Boo was a big comfort to me. I hope you have a comfort object, too. My message to you is to remember that when a loved one is deployed, everything will be okay because you always have family and friends to help you get through it.
